Oh my goodness! I remember painting these flowers. I remember the thrill of the challenge of using an eraser to paint flowers.
Stamping with erasers came from the best art book I’ve ever read! Oh my, this makes me light up inside, the way I did at the Yoko Ono exhibit!

Here Is My Process
- get a pack of school erasers and cut them up in various shapes
- Cut squares, hearts, triangles, random shapes
- Mix your favorite color. Pink and blue are my favorites
- Test out your stamps on a scratch sheet of paper.
- Observe the marks
- Then just go for it! Create flowers. You might get all Ed Emberly and make animals or characters.
It’s the play; you never know what will happen. I love it!

Oh and see how you can add other tools to highlight details with markers. Now see these are ideas! As you stamp, you will think about maybe the paint needs to be thicker? Maybe I need to add more water? What if I use a waterbased marker? I can color the eraser stamp with the marker, then spray water on the paper and stamp!
Just writing and think about this is exciting. I have been preaparing more work for the shop. Then working on SEO and I miss making art for the sake of making art. Making art benefits me. I havn’t been painting as much. No wonder I have been in a mood.
Tomorrow I am having a painting session. I am an artist. I paint expressive florals because it lights me up.
Thank you for being here.
