Alma Libre means free soul. These are the words I live by. It goes with my business and work philosophy of live smarter not harder.

The idea of a free soul means to be yourself. Do what makes you happy. Not necessarily happy, because happiness comes and goes, but peace. Peace should always be with us. Do what brings us peace.

At the time of this writing, it is Halloween. I’ve always wanted to be Amelia Bedilia. She was my favorite book character and still is. As a kid, I loved her because she was funny and baked pies. It was a thrill to see what she would do next. Now I love her more because she is herself and no matter what, that works for her.

How about a poem?

Alma Libre

Amelia Bedelia books bring me peace

Wandering in Gardens help me relate and release

Like the song, I am the verb can

I’m the woman who knows she is the man.

Painting flowers!

Ignited curiosity and creativity, you are my power.

Whatever they say, whatever they think

I love you for the lessons I learn, my tea, I’m drinking

The end needs a little work. I am beginning to feel much better from this respiratory thing. I am s0 grateful. Interested in the Alma Libre quote? Click on the art.
