Yellow is the color of friendship. Yellow is the color of the sun, and the sun is vital to our lives. Yellow is bright. For these reasons, I wanted to explore mixing with yellow. A Primary yellow, or in my case, a cadmium yellow straight from the tube, is ok. Oh, but when I mix cadmium yellowwith magenta, now we’re talking!

I don’t like this paint, but for the purposes of this exploration it was great! I love the textured flowers.

Here are other yellows I have painted. I love the gold yellows.

It’s always a lovely golden yellow that I love. I love my orange colors more on the yellow side than on the red side.

This is my roses painting. Simple yet lovely! I love the color and the details are interesting to look at. Painting these flowers made my life better.

Oh, my goodness I finally finished my cat bouquet. More about in the next post.

Project Idea

Paint something fun. First mix up a beautiful yellow. If yellow isn’t your color, then use what you will. Paint flowers, a texture, paint what you feel!

Thank you for reading! This blog and my art of course help me be mindful and makes my life better.
