About a few weeks ago, I made a goal to work on my flowers. I am not going to worry about shapes, trends at this point, or if it looks right. As I type this, I am looking at a blue vase filled with silk warm pink mini roses. I love these roses, but it’s the warm pink and green that has my spirit. My paintings express how nature makes me feel. That is how I paint.

I came across colored paper and old paint, and I had to paint. These are the types of flowers that my spirit says Yes, let’s keep working on these! Painting on colored paper? Where have you been all my life? This was old paint, and I didn’t care. I was painting and loving every moment of working on my curves and me!

I love the kind of florals that feel loose and easy. You hold the brush just enough to get those textured curves.
Project Idea
Don’t worry about needing the right supplies. Use what you have and make it work. Hold that brush loosely in your hand and paint. Replace thoughts of technique with how you feel about the subject you are painting.
Time to get my dinner ready, so I can have dessert and paint!
Thank you for being here!
