It was my birthday weekend, and I wanted to take time to reflect on my journey throughout the year. It was a hot day! Yet I found the loveliest of breezes. Beautiful trees appeared to be growing as if to say, ” I am here to shield you from the sun and the weight of the world. Fear not, for I am here.” Oh, and there I sat in all that peace and love! I can feel it now.
There were pathways full of trees! What a magical place. How many people walked these paths? How long have these trees been growing here!

I found a few more flowers in a wonderful shade of pink. It was a surprising pop of color among all the green. That is what I hope for in my art. I want my paintings to be pops of color for all of our senses. The world needs more color and gardens like this.

Here is another view! There were trees, plants, cacti, and succulents everywhere.

Oh my, there was a rose garden and peacocks! I wanted to photograph one but thought it best to leave them in peace.
It felt peaceful and calm to wander around this garden. I got to be in nature without actually going to nature. My soul needed this. Botanical Gardens are my therapy. I should paint this quote. There were more pictures, and I filmed a little video for Pinterst.
Loved my visit to a botanical garden! #mindfulness #arboretum #peaceofmind
Project
Go to a garden if you can and sketch! Paint. Breathe and just enjoy that peace. I wish I had thought of my garden expereince today. I did pretty good but oh my, I needed patience today.
Here is what I painted.
