Let’s call the theme of this post how art teaches you about life. The lesson is we always worry and fear what hasn’t happened or what the future will be like. We forget to enjoy the process. There is that saying that we are never guaranteed for the outcome or the outcome that we want.

These flower paintings are not in my shop. I loved them for various reasons. The color here, the soft pink watercolor blending there, the leaves shapes. How about the bright colored roses with the blue centers. Yes! Then there was gray backgrounds where I wanted brightness.

Art Is About How The Idea Lights You Up

All of my projects bring me peace. Every artist knows that art is all about the thrill of getting and working on an idea. At that moment, you just want to make something. You have an idea. Maybe you just start because you love to draw. Three hours later you are wowed by your own work. You can’t wait to for the next painting session. This right here is where your best work is.

Every Project Is Process, The Road To Your Dreams

I’ll have a color palette that wasn’t right. With a few layers, it is. Art is beautiful patience. Art takes time. That is the point. In life we are all on a journey. We shouldn’t be so quick to obsess over the outcome.

I loved this painting! It was not my original version. It’s better than the original. Oh right I wasn’t thrilled with the vase. I shall paint this again!

Here’s to celebrating all your projects and even life’s ups and downs. If I may give you advice, it would be to appreciate every piece of art you make. Appreciate all of the moments in your life. There is always a chance to grow and a lesson to learn. I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes!
