How’s life? I have been painting houseplants and came up with the words “I’m here, and I’ll always love you!” When I look at the moon and the stars, I feel these words. When I’m walking among flowers, during lovely spring mornings, I feel these words. When I say to the flowers,” Good morning, my beauties, we are going to conquer the day,” I feel these words.
Today, I want to say I like my work better than yesterday! My strokes are loose; there may be a splatter from a project of the past. If I don’t like something, I paint over it. I have been taking in deep breaths. And feeling blessed. Oh, and feeling the words, I’m here, I’ll always love you.

Make sure you have a ritual. Something you do that is all for you!
Oh, painting is my ritual for sure! It is a creative space that I trust, and I trust it often. That lovely thought comes from Corita Kent’s 10 Rules.
A houseplant can be that something that makes your home peaceful and uplifting. I have this ritual where I hold up a painting when I think I’m done. The wall is in the background. I imagine how it will look on the wall. If I like it, it’s done. If not, I keep working!
Having a ritual makes life better. What’s your ritual? What are your rituals?
I’m going for an evening walk. That is another ritual I enjoy. I appreciate you being here. I have had another sale, and so excited for all the art to come. If you were the buyer, thank you so much! I will be adding these paintings to my shop soon.
I’ll share more about my No Right Way to Paint a Flower Book soon! It will be a free ebook. There’s another book.
