First of all, painting with three colors is magical! It’s a total game-changer! I appreciate my paintings so much more. I’ve been walking along and seeing lovely flowers. Yes, I even utter the words: “Hello, my beauties, we are conquering the day!” Yes, we are! Azaleas are one of the flowers that I had to paint.
Have you ever felt so busy that by the time you sit and relax, it’s time to go to sleep and get ready for the next day? That was how I felt for a while. I have also been saying, you know what, surrender. Be grateful, and things will be what they will be. That brings me to my beautiful pink azalea flowers!

I am gliding that brush all over the page. Soft strokes. Blending color. Adding water. Letting the texture happen where it does. I browsed a picture, and with the love of Anthropologie color schemes in all my senses, I painted! Here we are!
I used the following watercolors: ultramarine, magenta, and white gouache. Oh, and yellow, of course. I love the soft textured background. Imagine this on a bedroom wall or even an entryway. That is all I want for my work. For my work to be warm, inviting, and uplifting. What a wonderful mood for your space, right?
I’m still working on these flowers. I am grateful for the chance to paint. Ok, now I’ll see about the movie and a little dessert. Make sure you make time for yourself, too!
Thank you for being here!
