paint palettes filled with various pink , blue and green colors

My biggest challenge is letting go of the noise and surrendering to the idea and the tools. Today I had a limited amount of supplies. I had yellow and white acrylic paint and my Neocolors. Teal was a nice surprise too!

Oh, my I wrote these words last January. The title was paint more. My word of the year was make. I did make more art, and I plan on making more art. No plan I am just making more art. Ok, I do have tons of ideas.

I want to paint more. I want to paint more without the notion of right or wrong. I like this painting and live the leaves and background even more. Why isn’t it in my shop? I didn’t think it was good enough. I have been going through old art and clearing out the art I don’t want to keep. I have been finding art that I like and wondering why, oh why did I dismiss this. I think the answer is between it’s not good enough and it felt too much like play so how could I call it art.

Here is to making art. I am going to stick with the word make for a while. I am going to sprinkle abundance all over it.

Do you have a word that is your momentum? I am working on a poster with 10 rules that represent A Painted Garden. I’ll share more on this poster in a few days.

With Love, Mireya
