That sounds like a wonderful spring afternoon.

So last weekend I was working on blues. I still am. You know me, I’m also working on my colors and painting. Now on to my sun-kissed yellows. Doesn’t that sound like a warm Sunday afternoon after the rain?
You have your straw hat on, strolling along, and are about to hop on the train. Which one comes first? That’s the train you’ll take! Let the little adventure begin.
Ok, that was my afternoon. Here’s another scenario.
You’re having a negative thought. Suddenly, you see yellow flowers. The weather is just right. There’s a breeze and butterflies. Your thoughts shift. Your thoughts get lighter, and you feel an immense peace. Yes, that happens to all of us. Hopefully.
That is the power of color, of nature really. As I write this, the sun is shining outside my window. I can hear the birds. It is important to stop and notice such beauties.
Here are my daffodils.

Cadmium yellow is a good color, but when you mix it with magenta, a little blue or yellow ochre, it’s beautiful! It’s wonderful to see your colors play well together. Everything about this painting is free, summer, spring, abstract, warm, and uplifting. And peaceful, of course!
Now I’m going to go set up for round two of my blue painting. The blue doodle flowers, I didn’t even want to share that. That’s wonderful practice, and I am learning and growing. I’m back and with this great feeling of, that is more like the blue doodle painting I wanted!
