I think I figured out that roses and ranunculus-style flowers are my style.

Beautiful swirls! The sketch on the right was done on copy paper; I used Basics acrylic paint and Liquitex brushes. Liquitex brushes are great! The flowers on the left were done on craft poster paper. I used a Dollar Tree set of watercolors. The colors dry like chalk.

The point here is that supplies don’t matter as much as what I choose to do with the supplies I use! I have beautiful thoughts that fill me with peace and hope. Why not handwrite those thoughts? I have to embrace my style and keep working toward making wonderful art for the sake of making art that feeds my soul.

Here’s my plan?

I am going to fill up my new book with flowers like this. I can go back to the days of painting on copy paper. Yes, and I think I have a new book project! Oh, my goodness let me work out the details.
