Here is a list of some of my favorite painting ideas.

Using an Ornament to Stamp Flower Shapes

Oh my, I love the texture, and why don’t I have these flowers in my shop? All you do is get a small ornament, mix your preferred colors, and use a brush to apply paint to the bottom half of the ornament. Then you stamp the ornament in a circular motion. When the paint is almost dry, I use a brush to move paint around for the lighter tones.

Painting Flowers With Layers of C Shapes

Sometimes the C shapes are thick; other times they are thin. I start in the center and work my way to a bigger circle each time I add C-shape strokes. You never know what you end up with. You just have to play, and your flowers will bloom before your eyes.

I think of the petals as gardens and how we are all connected. I just realized that this may be my signature style. These flowers are quirky, whimsical art like my horse outline with the word free inside. Then I’m working on the following quote. Let us run the race that is before us and never give up. Ok on to the next idea!

Painting Wildflowers

Anything goes here!

Dream up a wonderful place. Oh, fall is coming up! How about fall wildflowers? I’m adding that to my list! Use a variety of tools and draw or paint your flowers. Think simple shapes and lots of color.
