Maximalist florals are in. When I saw the lovely patterns in Anthropologie, I had to paint them! I have been painting loose, colorful florals, soft colors that go with the warmth of spring. You know that feeling when the sun is shining, but it’s not too hot. The weather is right. There is a breeze, the birds are singing, and a yellow butterfly flutters by. You are more than at ease. You are at peace. You are free. Everything is possible.

I try to capture how nature makes me feel when I paint. When I paint, I feel exactly the same as when I am wandering in a garden!
Bloom Louder. Bloom unapologetically extra. These are the words from superbloom.com. I just signed up for the newsletter because it’s all things flowers! Hand-drawn floral prints? I was curious, and that leads me to my lettering quotes posters project. Oh, right, I started my collection already. So many projects, so little time!

What are Maximalist Florals?
Maximalist florals are bold, expressive, statement-making, and attention-getting. Right now that is my mood. My work is expressive. I have got to be bold and share my work. If you love my work, then great. If you don’t like my work, then great, because I am going to do what I do and always will! Time to get out my spring dresses and wander in the garden.
Maximalist florals were a fun trend to try. Now I am going to head over to Anthropologie and browse around. Let the colors and patterns invigorate me.
Thank you for being here.
