If you are new here, these monthly posts give me a chance to shine and show my work. This is stuff that I make for me and goes to the shop because that’s where the best comes from. I also share new art ideas and resources.
Here’s the list!

- Don’t Call It Art. Don’t you just love the title of that book? Austin Kleon wrote the book, and it will be out soon! I can’t wait to read it! I have been making stuff lately. I have been drawing and painting. You know what, I love it! There are no happy mistakes, no mistakes, period. You just paint and make. Oh, Corita Kent says,” There is only make!” It is the best place to be.
- For me, being good at anything is mastering the self. I want to take my art business to the next level and beyond. Before that is self-love first. That means eating healthily, exercising, and, most of all, nourishing the mind. I have had to learn this time and time again, but this year has been a test. I am here in abundance. I just finished listening to Kute’s Podcast about manifesting your dreams, and it was good!
- A friend, let’s call her a beginner artist, asked me what supplies are cheap but good to begin with. Here is what I suggested: Canson Watercolor Paper, three primaries in acrylics, so you can mix all colors, or the Watercolors Master’s Touch set is good for beginners. I like Winsor Cotman. Go to the dollar store and pick up water bowls, plates for palettes, parchment or wax paper for palette paper. They do have brushes, too. There are only a few that I would recommend, though. I am working on a free downloadable guide that has all of this information. If you are interested, make sure you subscribe so that when I release it, you can get it! Here is art supplies that I use.
- I just published a 2nd book. Or I should say republished. I never liked the name “Different is Beautiful”; “What a Beautiful World” makes sense. That’s what I feel! This book will remind you of your gifts and get you painting your story, no matter the canvas.
- I have been learning Gelato and Etsy and even made a few fancy mock-ups. This made me appreciate my work even more. Here is my shop. Yes, I made a sale! Thank you! I am still tweaking the shop because I am learning as I go! Take time and learn a new skill!
- I am working on a TPT Shop, which will include easy downloadable art projects and templates. I should add coloring pages too!
- I have been doing daily journal entries of random paintings and turning those paintings into a full art piece. Now I think I will do daily drawings and paint a flower. This will be anything goes. I can draw at work or use crayons. To see these entries, you can follow my Instagram.
- I am full of energy, feeling spring and beyond ready for everything I am working on. This includes tote bags, mugs, art prints, and books. No matter what, always be your best friend.

Should these flowers be on a tote bag? I didn’t plan that, but the idea popped into my head and seems very insistent.
Thank you so much for being here. Every day, there are more of you. If you’re working on something, please share it! If you are interested in the beginner’s downloadable resource guide, what would you like to see in it? How about the printable art projects? Make it a good day!
