What bores you is today’s prompt on WordPress. WordPress releases daily prompts that bloggers can write a post for. I was curious about today’s prompt, and here we are!

What bores me? I don’t think I get bored, well, except for the times when I think too much about my art. I keep trying ideas with the idea of perfectionism, thinking my art has to be a certain way. That’s when I shut down and want to throw the art away and go, now what? That’s boredom for me.

Usually, I have tons of ideas! Lately, I have been using three colors, watercolors at that, for easy clean-up and painting loose florals.

The more imperfect the better, almost. My style of painting is definitely abstract, loose, and soft with a few pops of color. I have done work that is vibrant and bright. That is a deviation from my color palette, but I had to get out of my comfort zone to see what happens. I like this too!

There are plenty of times when I get bored with the typical brush. Then I finger paint or stamp with an odd object.

What bores you? It’s a mindshit that you need.
