Every month, I like to reflect on my work. Where am I going? What am I doing? Read on for the projects I have been working on and the resources and thoughts I have acquired along the way. I hope my ideas and projects encourage you!
Here’s what’s been happening around my creative space.
Transforming Art Into Products
Oh my goodness, the workshop I took this past summer really opened my eyes. There are many products that I can create with my art. I keep sharing my coloring book because it’s proof that I can create coloring books. I realize the first step is walking through the process. Just do it!

The cover for the You Bloom Coloring book came from working on a mini collection. In the post, I included an awesome video by Catcoq.
Here is one of the artists who has inspired me and given me the resources to prove that I can do this.
Other products that I have created are greeting cards. There are 11 cards in the shop so far.

Oh, and I am almost done with my first calendar! Right after I finish this post, I will add the calendar to my shop. Calendar has been added!
Love Your Name Love You

Working on all of these projects is a confidence booster. I just want to do my thing. I enjoy nature, and I want to paint it. What I have learned is that you need to create from your perspective. Then you can begin creating products. First, make for yourself, then create products.
I find it easier to share what I do. I’m not bragging, but not being shy about what I do.
Building a Shop
When I say build, I mean doing research, setting up shop, and creating my art. I have always wanted to expand my site and sell my art. What stopped me was that I didn’t know how. There are so many resources. Here I am using Gelato to print my products and sell them in my Etsy shop. This wasn’t the exact plan, but it’s a start!
The first days were rough, but then the words we are just going to do this would not let me give up!
Oh, and I came up with a tagline, a story I want to tell with my art.
Rooted from kindness and wildflowers
What a Beautiful Color Palette

All I have to say is yes, I love my palette! I would love to get jars to keep premixed colors. If you have ideas, let me know! You can read about the colors and paints I used to mix these lovely colors here and there.
Word Art for a Blooming Mind

I like posters. I love words. I am working on posters that have influenced me. You read them, and they never leave you. These are fun words, and I should probably give one away when I launch my email subscription idea.
I Found My Flower Painting Style
I think I have found my flower style. I am pleased about that. I have been working on my website. I decided to go with a simple layout and once and for all stop all the details. I just want to make my art. Gradually, as I get ideas, I can work on my website, but I don’t have to obsess over it.
I am working on a lot. I need to get good at one product rather than drive myself crazy working on everything and then wondering why things didn’t work out. The most important part is what I am creating and why. My art should tell a good story first. Right?
That’s why being rooted in kindness and wildflowers makes sense!
Of course, more of you are here. I appreciate your kind feedback. Thank you so much. If you have any questions or suggestions, like how to store my premixed acrylic paints in jars, let me know.
May you love yourself, love your name, surround yourself with positivity, words for a blooming mind, and build your shop.
Thank you for being here.
