I have 13 sheets of this large watercolor paper. I was thinking cool blue and a field of whimsical wildflowers.

I began with beautiful watercolor blues. With all the blue, I needed a little orange. The dragonfly and butterfly add to the carefreeness of this painting. Of course, I had to add pink flowers.
The details well, I stamped with the back of my brush, and tapped the brush to create loose petals. Oh, and the fun started by making marks with watercolor teal ink for an interesting background!
I read these words from Eric Carle, and I’m like, yes, that is me!
Simplify, slow down, be kind. And don’t forget to have art in your life – music, paintings, theater, dance, and sunsets.- Eric Carle
I want to keep it simple, focus on color, and just paint beautiful flowers. In art, there really is only make. It is a lovely, relaxing process that is good for my soul.
Thank you for being here.
