Good art doesn’t necessarily make sense. I look at a painting and wonder how the idea came to be. It could be the color, the texture or the idea that suddenly pops in your head, you like the art.

Why do I paint flowers? What is my process?

I have always been curious about nature. I like creating, making a mess and seeing what happens next. I do my sketching, drawing and coloring all in one. There is two or three layers to my art, maybe more. I like to take my time. I thrive on quiet time where it’s just me and my tools. This is a world that I can get lost in for hours.

Oh, and fun tools, yes, I have painted flowers with ornaments.

I’m just getting started! There is a whole world full of ideas. The best part is there is room for all of us. Every artist has a process. What’s your process?
