I am working on creating a poster collection of 10 quotes that have been with me this year. Sometimes you read or listen to words that leave a lasting impression on you. My biggest lesson is there is only make. These four words are the essence of the book Learning by Heart: Teachings to Free the Creative Spirit.

This poster is in my shop. I have been making more art. I have been trying new tools and journaling with watercolor.

The phrase stay weird is from Austin Kleon. In a world where everyone is trying to mold you into something, you have to be yourself even more. Or as Dolly Parton says, “Find out who you are and do it on purpose.” To the status quo you may be weird, but you are not weird. You are simply you. Art in every sense of word makes me realize that noise out there has nothing to do with me.

Now on to the new posters that I painted

The blue wash background, blue flowers and all of the colorful flowers remind me to continue painting flowers. Painting flowers is what I like to do. I could have sat, thought and sketched wondering if or PAINT. I painted a total of three posters today.

No matter what I always say I am going to do the best I can.
