I have always thought my old palette was too small. There just wasn’t room for my pinks and yellows. We have had good times, but I have all these tubes of watercolor that need to be used.

I used a palette knife to remove the watercolor paint from the old half pans into the new ones. To make the paint stick to the new pan, I used my paint brush to add water to the pan.

I have a bag filled with watercolor tubes. I had this ritual of roaming the paint isles in Blick. I’d browse the colors and let my curiosity choose a new color for me. It’s a collection that formed because I love color but didn’t want to waste paint. What a silly thought. Paint is for painting! There is only make. Why hold on to this paint.
I have dreamed of a large watercolor set, I love watching Ana Victoria Calderon use her palette. Plus, I want to bypass all the mixing and and paint. With 52 half pans in my new watercolor set, there is room to play! This Meeden set was supposed to come with 48 half pans, and I was going to return it. It’s a little crowded but it’s a birthday gift I bought for myself. I’ll make my watercolor palette work! Where else would I find a large watercolor palette filled with 52 half pans for $22.
Finally, a few hours later, looking beautiful and ready for some fun! Where did all the 52 half pans go? I want more space. We are good!

I am going to love this set. We are going to have great times. Having all these choices of my favorite colors makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. I have pinks! That will lead to beautiful art.
Here’s my swatch card, for now. I made changes. I just need a good light teal color.

Now on to digitizing my floral doodles for the coloring book. Drawing and creating is always the easy part. Yet all good comes with a price of time, uncomfortableness, and patience.
