Here are my doodles.

I like to brainstorm ideas on a sheet of copy paper. I fold the sheet of copy paper it in half until I get 16 squares per sheet. I am not wasting paper and have plenty of space for brainstorming ideas. Then I will take my ideas and redraw them. I want my book to have 50 coloring sheets plus five blank pages for doodling.
Here is another sample of flower doodles. These are the kinds of flowers that will be in the book.

My goal for this coloring book is to get me thinking about products that I can create with my art. One of the workshops that I took in the summer talked about creating art with certain products in mind. Coloring books seems like a simple and easy idea that I can do!
My brainstorm doodles are better than the redraws. With my redraws, my hand shook as I was drawing lines. I used a pencil to draw the vase first. My hand didn’t shake with the first doodles. I was just drawing. All this means is that I am thinking too much. Thinking too much hardly leads to my best art. I am drawing these flowers. A human is drawing these flowers. My flowers will have that hand drawn feel.

The other part of this project is working on the book cover. I started playing around in Canva. I used the clip art. Then I realized I could and should paint my flowers. I want to watercolor some of my flower doodles with pink. Painting flowers is what I do. I want to show my work and put my content out there.
It has been a long time since I have worked on a book project. I forgot how much I like it.
