Here are some of the projects that I’ve been finger painting. You might want to paint them too! Are you looking for ways to tap into your creativity? In this post, I am going to share my projects as well as some finger-painting tips.

Before I begin sharing my projects, I want to say that the more I fingerprint the more I am able to make marks and make it work. Finger painting loosens you up because, you are painting with your fingers!

Art is not about I have all the answers. You start painting. You have an idea. You paint. You think about what you saw, what you liked or maybe what you didn’t like. All that becomes the painting, and you keep working.

Here are my projects.

Not keeping the words or the leaves but the flowers will be fine for my book project.

Big sunflower, flowers and leaves done with finger painting

The three flowers’ needs need a little more texture in the center of the flowers. Dots maybe? Both of these designs were just me playing around. You know what, these are some of my favorite flowers.

My hope for this book is that I explore ideas and feel inspired to paint those ideas. To share that with others is a bonus too.

I took this painting

and turned it into pops of color.

Wild pink and orange wildflower roses

Oh, and here I discovered that finger painting with gloves is better! I still like making a mess with my fingers but using gloves is easier clean-up. Plus, you do achieve smoother strokes.

Motivation and Inspiration are always here. Are you listening?

This is my favorite of them all.

Five Wildflowers in yellow and pink, orange done with finger-painting

There is another purple leaf flower painting that I will not share, yet. I’m not sure. I have a better idea.

I am going to finger-paint and build my collection. You can see my daily finger-painting entries on Instagram and weekly updates here. Instagram will be my notebook place where I post my finger paintings with the words that I want to include in the book.

Interested in more painting ideas and talk? Subscribe to my blog and be part of a garden where wildflowers grow. I do like the sound of that!

Respectfully, Mireya
