I am working on a mini all occasion floral pattern collection. In today’s post, I am going to share my progress and discuss my goals. I hope that you feel inspired to keep making your art.
Here is my floral pattern

The finished product will be a set of blank all occasion cards in 4 matching designs. The above are two of the designs that will be the cover for two of the cards.
Imagine having a set of cards that you can use to wish someone a happy birthday or to say thank you. My third and fourth designs will be a pink textured paper and a final card with the words HELLO.
Flowers always make me smile and bring peace. There I’ll be with my thoughts and then I’ll notice a butterfly or how gorgeous the magenta-colored roses are. How about gifting that to someone in the form of a card? Yes!
Sketch before the pattern.

You can paint different elements and use Affinity Photo or Photoshop to remove the paper background and create lovely patterns. I am learning. I have never put together a mini collection, but I am doing it. Art helps you lose yourself and find yourself. Or rather being able to differentiate between what is out there, out of your control and what is you.Oh, if you want to create your mini collection sign up at Catcoq. I am sharing my projects because by July to mid-August I want to have these projects in my shop and on my website. Working on art helps me focus on my inner strength. You can too! You can look at my designs here. I have applied my patterns to aprons, prints, pouches and more.
This mini card collection is one of two projects. My other project is a coloring book. Yes, I love to paint. I love to doodle too. Here are a few of the doodles that I have done. I want a coloring book that is good for adults and kids.

Ooh I wonder if I can go to Dollar Tree and get a blank page notebook? I’ll use copy paper. By the way, do you stock up on art supplies during back-to-school sales? What do you pick up? Let me know in the comments. I am still on the hunt for a watercolor palette.
I am working on another finger-painting project. More on that in the next post. If you are creating along with me, I ‘d love to see your art. Comment below.
During these summer days, I am truly enjoying observing all the butterflies, and the colors in Anthropologie. Take time to enjoy the little things. Invigorate your senses and have fun! There is only make.
