Have you taken any painting classes lately? I have and just finished three. I am ready to welcome summer with new projects! Sometimes the flowers you paint don’t come together and deliver the peace that you know is there. It is important to keep painting and growing. Shouldn’t we always keep painting and growing! Yes!

Aqua green paint

In this post, I am going to share my joyful bouquet and the lessons I have learned in the Paint a Joyful Bouquet (even if you think you’re not creative) class. That title just speaks to me. If you are interested, scroll to the bottom of this post, and I will provide a link to the class.

Here Are the Lessons That I Have Learned Painting a Joyful Bouquet

  • I painted with gouache, and I loved it. I have five colors of Winsor Gouache that I didn’t use before. Here I was, painting a beautiful arrangement!
  • It is ok if your flowers turn out different than you expected. It might be better that way! It is!
  • You can always add details to your work. It’s finished when you say it is.
  • It might be awkward, get weird but trust yourself.
  • Working on a project is working on yourself and when you work on yourself you mind your own business
  • Did I mention how much I love gouache? What do I do about all of my acrylic paint? Can I somehow turn that into gouache?

Working on this project was therapeutic. I was working out a situation and, oh my goodness, I was reconnected with my peace.

This class is one of many Skillshare classes. You can sign up for one month of free classes. I don’t get any commission from recommending Skillshare. I just want to pass on a wonderful resource. I have taken over 200 courses.

I have a list of my favorite courses on my art supplies page.

I hope you give Skillshare a try. We can paint flowers. That is why I have decided that the title of my painting is, oh yes you can bouquet.
