Are you looking for an art journal entry? Do you want to creatively explore? An easy way to do that is to explore shapes.
Ed Emberley has an interesting book about how you can use basic shapes to draw animals. You know I like to draw flowers. Circles and flowers are a win!

Ideal supplies
You can use paint, markers, copy paper, pencils, crayons. The possibilities are endless. Oh, and the most important tool is having the mindset that we are only making art.
Benefits of Exploring Flower Ideas Using a Circle Shape
Ok these are obviously my ideas. There are only eight spaces but there are countless ideas. You’ll find that once you begin, it gets good. Many times, we wait until we have the “perfect idea”. Why not simply start? Then you’ll be like oh ok that is all I had to do. Yes! Let the good times begin!

I like the idea of one color with various transparencies, monotones. Thumbnail sketching is great because you get a creative boost, and you could create patterns or hills of flowers.
Inexpensive supplies like copy paper and tempera paint take the pressure off of feeling like you are wasting expensive paint.
Bonus Idea!
How about looking around the house for a random circle shape that you can stamp with? You could use your fingers.
There you have it. I hope this idea was fun! I’d love to see your take on this. Maybe you can try another shape? Hearts!
Interested in more painting ideas and talk? You can subscribe to my blog and be part of a garden where wildflowers grow. I do like the sound of that!
Thanks for reading. Comment if you like. It is always fun to learn about new art.
