Do you have experience with surface design patterns?

Pink flowers and surface patterns. I never thought about that. Then one day I was browsing in a Paper Source store. The patterns had flowers on them, and I thought I could do that! I painted flowers, scanned them and the file is ready for patterns. That’s the part I am working on.
I enrolled in a class. The class wasn’t a good fit. I have hand painted flowers, and the class was about designing on an iPad. I am designing on a desktop. Did I learn something? Yes! I am eager to learn.

I want to create a calendar, notebook covers, an art journal prompt book…wait a minute, a finger-painted book was on my to-do list! So, my ideas started with the wallpaper.
The message I keep hearing is, girl you have to start!
I had to write this post. I need and want to voice my ideas. Somehow when I voice my ideas the answers find me. Right now, for example, I remembered that Cat Coq teaches a class on how to take your hand drawn art and turn it into patterns.! I am signing up and hope they have the free trial. They do!
My software of choice is Affinity Designer. Have you ever worked with this program? I will share my journey, and this course as I progress. I know I am not the only one.
A few quick questions. Do you run an affiliate program on your website? I am working on adding a supply list that includes links to all of the supplies I use. Would you be interested in that?
Interested in more painting ideas and talk? You can subscribe to my blog and be part of a garden where wildflowers grow. I do like the sound of that!
Thanks for reading. Comment if you like. It is always fun to learn about new art.
With Love, Mireya
