Lately, I have been trying new tools or discovering new ways to use the tools I have. Aside from the relaxation, it’s fun to try new tools. I always feel like art came come from anyone and any tool.

Size 14 Soft Round Brush
A large brush is intended for creating watercolor washes. What did I do? I painted flowers and leaves with it. My painting is in the early first layer stages, but I love it already! I have used this brush a few times. It was nice painting my flowers with a different brush.
Metallic Watercolors

There I was not knowing what to do with a painting. I liked the colors, but it needed something. This set is a Master’s Touch Metallic Watercolor set that was inexpensive but is beautifully pigmented. I always use a gold Posca pen, so using metallic watercolors was amazing!
Trying a new tool or using the same tool in a different way can ignite your curiosity and give you the confidence to paint your idea! Not only that, but I was also at peace and ready for the days to come!
I love the following words.
“Art should be something that liberates your soul, provokes the imagination and encourages people to go further.” – Keith Haring
As a bonus, here are three more ideas that I have tried. Painting with ornaments is my favorite.

Do you have a favorite tool that makes you feel like a kid in a candy store?
