How about painting one flower a day? Spring is near. I can see the sun at the time of this writing. The birds and the butterflies are singing their song. Flowers are blooming. Yes, these beautiful flowers that always remind me of my truth and love are blooming.

Before I paint today’s flower, let me mention that I am beginning a project to paint a flower a day. Every day I will scroll through my photos on Pinterest. Then I’ll choose a flower. I hope I’ll see more beautiful flowers in gardens! Then I will use my watercolor set to paint a full-page pattern or design based on the flower. I’ll post daily on Instagram but choose one design to blog about.
My Flower Painting Rules Are as Follows:
There is only make.
We are not replicating the photo.
Have fun and let’s see what you can do!
Let’s Paint Today’s Flower, a Blooming Ranunculus.

I scrolled through my photos. The colors and the blooming buds said paint me! Here we are. It was casual. I did a little mixing. Then on to what I love to do, just paint!
My goal with painting a flower a day is to go back to the basics, learn about my color palette and build a habit of making art. I’m not going to judge my work either.
I will be posting my daily flower painting on Instagram. I’ll be choosing a favorite or two to write about on a weekly basis.
I am still on the lookout to create an acrylic paint palette. I would like to mix a few colors, store them in jars. Do you have a spring flower you’d like me to paint?
