…because there is a world full of ideas so why not Q-Tips!
Would I rather have a set list to check off or build a list as I go? I like having a list to get me started but by all means let the ideas come as they come! I like to say this is where I want to go and let the surprises guide me to the real path. At the time of this writing, I am preparing a for the love of art challenge. This is my mood! There is only make.

For my Q-Tips all I did was mix up pinks. I painted these flowers a while ago and for a project called There is No Right Way to Paint a Flower. Simple -Q-Tips and a bottle of acrylic paint I bought for 50 cents. I don’t use that paint anymore but it’s proof that you can create beautiful art with any tools. Wow I was in a Paper Source store and now have an idea for a pattern.
Rules for any painting session or challenge
I could have easily used chopsticks, a sumi brush or a toothpick. Or use a branch as a paint brush. I should try this!
I have tons of ideas. Corita Kent taught a wonderful idea. Playing with tools and techniques allows you to explore, imagine, be curious, and connect. I like asking why, always have and always will. There are so many ways to paint flowers. As you paint you discover ideas that perhaps you always wanted to express. Perhaps you didn’t realize you could, or you thought you had creative block and realize you never did. Our talents are with us. We need to practice them and keep making.
These flowers seem to say together we will. Together we shall.

Here is to self-love and loving what you do. If you give Q-Tip flowers a try I would love to see them. Or do you like painting flowers with another fun tool! I definitely want to know about that! Please go on a leave a comment below.
With Love, Mireya
