Do you have days where you feel like you don’t have time? You run around and then when you have a moment you wonder should I paint? Yes! Painting with watercolor is easy. There is something about painting with water that is relaxing! In this project, I will share the big flower pattern that helped me go from feeling overwhelmed to I got this!

Want to paint along with me? Let’s do this!

The first step is to gather your supplies. Then you can do a doodle. Choose a spot on your paper where you think your big flower should be. After that, you fill in the space with smaller flowers. Start with one big flower and fill up the page with whatever you want.

My color palette was all peach and pink. Plum is a color I have seen in Anthropologie. I love this color! Once my flowers were painted, I had to paint the background.

Inspiration for Painting Big Watercolor Flowers

On a busy day, it’s especially important to stop and observe the flowers. That’s Georgia O’Keeffe and as I was feeling overwhelmed she entered my mind. I thought of the children that I painted beautiful flowers with. After I painted my flowers I was ready to move forward in peace and calmness.
