I had a wonderful time expressing my creative spirit at work this week. It was amazing to share this experience with my students. We painted and made holiday crafts together. What warmed my soul the most was the sense of freedom we felt while expressing our ideas. I felt like I was previously a bird in a cage. Then the door opens and the bird flies! I could feel the connection. It was beautiful!

Coincidentally, I find this quote by Picasso. I have been thinking about how I feel when I paint and wishing I could be like this all the time. Art and nature are my centers. When I live my life from this deepness, I am content. Oftentimes, I am neither happy nor sad. I am simply at peace. More on this topic in tomorrow’s post.

I am an artist so I blog about my art adventures. It is because of my art that I can go to work and do what I do. I want to grow my blog. I stumbled on a new book idea. I’m better when I paint.
