What are your art dreams? That is the question that I have been thinking about this week. Sometimes it feels like dreams are far from reachable. We think about our dreams but don’t manifest them as we should. We believe but we don’t do. There is a beautiful world out there that can show us that yes, our dreams are possible. Let’s explore that world.

Tell it to the moon and stars

My night sky is currently lit up with a supermoon, which is bright and beautiful. Last night, I gazed up at it, and it was so illuminating that it made me feel, “Yes, I can!” Think about what you want, let your mind wander, and tell it to the moon.

Write it down

Get a journal or share it in a post, but voice your dream. My dream is to have my work in Anthropologie. I love the abstract handmade aesthetic I see in window displays, the colors in the store, and everything that Anthropolopige represents. I can paint that kind of art now and do it for me. I just want to keep making my art.

There is only make

I wrote a book called There’s No Right Way to Paint a Flower. The most important part of your dreams is a plan of action. The main rule in my creative space is there is only make. Make your art and do it for you.

You can be anyone you want to be

Make your art and do it for you. Every now and then dream and wander. Be grateful for what you do have. I’m not sure where I read the following words but what an idea! Be who you want to be online. Don’t wait around for permission. Start a website, YouTube channel, or blog. In Show Your Work, Austin Kleon says, “Share something every day and you’ll meet amazing people.”
