Why not? Do you like painting flowers? Perhaps you are taking a break from your traditional painting and want to creatively explore new ideas. In today’s post, I am reminding us that we can create beautiful flowers with any tool we choose!

Let me see if I can find a step-by-step process post. Here is a little process post. The process is simple. Mix your favorite colors. Fall seems to already be in the air. Maybe a yellow and orange scheme? I will try that! I always love pink and peach. After you mix your colors, spray a little water on your colors. You don’t want your paint to be too thick. Maybe you do? It’s all up to you!

Lovely rows of flowers painted with an ornament and with tones of pink

Next, now that your paint is ready, take the ornament and roll it in the paint. Then take your rolled ornament and roll it on the page in a circular motion. I should do this up and down to paint a tulip shape! Last, let the paint semi-dry and use a brush to develop the flower shapes even more.

Here are a few other ornament flowers that I have painted. Aren’t these flowers beautiful? They always come out different. They are abstract and interesting to look at.

Now it’s your turn. I use a mini smooth surface ornament. A great place to find ornaments is Dollar Tree. You can try a regular-size ornament. As a challenge, for some extra fun, why not choose a random object to paint flowers with. You can use a spoon, straw, rubber band, or pencil, Oh I have an idea!

I’d love to see your flowers. Leave your details below. By the way, I have been away for a few weeks. I have been sick and taking time to heal. I haven’t painted but I have been doing a few pencil and pen doodles. Of course, I have been thinking about art-always am.

With Love,

Mireya
