Just do it! These are words of an olympian but I gladly borrow them. A few weeks ago I wrote a post about why you think your art is ugly and how to change that. One of the ideas was about the thoughts we bring to our painting sessions.
All that should be in our painting sessions is us, our ideas, and our supplies. My painting sessions have been great.
Here are the soft finger-painted stroke textures and the green tones. Then there are the different leaves.

I was going to buy professional-grade brushes but I found cheap brushes for $3. They are the best brushes. I have yet to explore my stamps. I have these beautiful stamps that I got for free. I have played with them a little but I’ll be doing more of that this coming week.
What was my state of mind as I was painting all of this fabulous art? How can I freely say, yes I did great, I am good at art. I am not saying I am the best I am simply saying yes I did good, in that look I made this for you, childlike spirit. As I painted I focused on making a mess, how the paint felt on my fingers, loosely holding the brush and just painting!
I appreciate your feedback. I have been enjoying the comments. If you have a project that you are working on please comment below. I’d love to hear about it and see it!
With Love,
Mireya
