two paintings with yellow paint and pink paint

Lemonade on a hot summer day will cool you off. Walking through a garden filled with big pink roses cools me off too. In this painting session I mixed lovely shades of yellow, got out my flat brush and painted lemons and pink flowers.

Here are the supplies I used: Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Medium, Quinacridone Magenta, Titanium White, Teal and Turquoise

Let me start off by saying that I painted my lemons with my middle finger. Before I painted my lemons, I wanted to explore the different ways I can paint with my fingers. I am not confident enough to paint leaves. Oh, for that reason I definitely should. I have an idea!

Now that I have explored all of the lovely shapes and textures my fingers can make, it’s time to paint. I painted a sticker, stickers. purple flowers and of course my lemons. I dipped my finger in the yellow and dotted lemons. My lemons are different shapes and talk about using my tools to make beautiful art! Painting with yellow led to summer daises which I am still working on. I used my finger to dot the orange centers.

If you want to get more finger-painted flowers go to my home page. There you’ll find a box where you can sign up to have my posts delivered to your email. I also post on Pinterest and Instagram. My work can be found here. I aim to post new work weekly.

With love,

Mireya
