I painted these roses in good taste. These flowers are my colors, my texture, and how I feel.

I created a video short about the book I’m reading. This video is unedited and me. I want more of this. That’s where the good taste comes from.

What I love most about this passage is the word you. What music do you listen to? What books do you read? What do you like?

We make art. We make lots of art. Much of the art we make in the beginning isn’t good. That’s because, with each idea and painting, we carve away that which doesn’t belong. These are Michelangelo’s brilliant words. 

The ideas are always here. Abundance is always with us. Love is too. The idea that we create, because we artists have good taste, is simply because we like making art. Art is something I have to do. I have been painting for years. What helps me make beautiful art is I create art. It comes from the heart my spirit-my soul. That is always good. I believe there is a gem in everything I create. I’m always learning and growing.

Every time I doubt and feel insecure, that’s the art I always want to hide and throw away. Good taste is in the words of Pat Flynn, paint with your weird self. Paint with you. I’ll be doing lots more short videos. I want to share more of myself and what I learn while making art. I am working on a Valentine’s painting ideas post.
