I used to throw out my work wanting to start over. Now my painting wisdom tells me to hold on. Yes, some of that wisdom came from other artists who call it the awkward phase. Etta Vee calls it the awkward teenage phase.
I was unsure of these flowers. I had a plan. It felt like it wasn’t going well. I stopped critiquing and kept on creating. I put the painting away for the weekend. Today, I was reviewing my art and I like these flowers!
These flowers are colorful and interesting to look at. I love the blue-green on the vase!
I am working on a watercolor flower painting. I got to paint with students and that may have led to a new course?
