There are a lot of elements in this world that I wish didn’t exist. Yet they do. I can’t think of anything that I want to un-invent. How about fear or the inner critic?
I have been thinking about my inner critic. I have been reading posts filled with the words, be a gentle friend, and don’t quit. James Victore writes.”Don’t quit on yourself.” Suzanne Allard suggests we be a gentle friend to ourselves.
The other night I was walking in thought, as I often am and I looked up at the moon and began breathing. This experience leading up to these posts reminds me to focus on the painting. Let’s face it, I paint. I am always going to paint. I have been painting for a while and I’m not giving up. Thank you for reading my blog and taking the time to comment.

I am currently painting flowers from around the world, exploring peach tones, learning to create as I paint along, getting inspired by artist quotes and videos, and adding new work to my shop.
By the way, I like to end my posts with siempre Mireya. Siempre means always in Spanish. I love my Mexican American culture. I sign my words with siempre Mireya as a symbol of being my biggest friend.
Always,
Mireya
