Three flower vines on a orange and pink background

All right, I am borrowing the 100 days of painting from EttaVee. I am on a roll! I finished Suzanne’s painting course. That was fun! I am working on a new painting a day. Lately, I have been finishing the painting. Then the next session or day, adding details.

First, I painted the background with lovely swatches of orange and magenta. I had no orange, so I used yellow, pink rose, and white. Maybe I added a drop of cadmium red? This design makes me think of paintings on otherwise forgotten buildings and turning them into a mural. Who wouldn’t want to walk past the bright beautiful colors every day or wherever you go to the market? The way I can just let go and paint makes my work brighter, bolder, and be me.

Oh, that reminds me of a podcast I want to finish listening to. Austin Kleon said,” You know you’re an artist when you stop paying for four days and you feel awful.” That’s me! So much makes sense. I feel off when I can’t paint. That’s why I need to take my work seriously. I am proud of my work. I want to do it full-time. I was browsing Anthropologie and observing color, patterns, and how it makes me feel.

Thank you for reading and for your feedback. Your encouragement means a lot to me. Oh right! Today is the day to scan my flowers and get this book done once and for all. Make sure you are a subscriber. I will be posting a link to the free digital version of Wild About You. Yes, the title is done. All I need to do is scan and put the book together. Easy right?

Siempre,

Mireya

Love your title “Wild About You”! Looking forward to seeing it. I also love the colors and everything about today’s painting! Those centers look like yummy blueberries! Thank you for offering your soul. It’s beautiful.
