Looking good!

Let’s do a comparison!

Big improvement in the color palette. Titan Buff made a difference. It’s harder to layer and layer with Basics paints. I absolutely love these Liquitex paints. Liqutex paints are creamy and layering with them is a dream. The pinks in my swatches? Where were they?

The one wrong, with this flower arrangement is that I wasn’t thinking about nature or how it makes me feel. I wasn’t flying by the seat of my soul. There is no wrong. I painted. I began this design with an idea. I went back and forth. That’s when I realized that you can only layer so much with the Basics student-grade paint. The hard-body acrylic paint is thick, creamy and opaque. I like and prefer the looseness and freeness of my brushstrokes in paintings like this. These are beautiful awesome flowers! I was in my zone.

Ok, tomorrow I’ll use Basics to sketch roses. I’ll test out various brushes and maybe look at expressive abstract paintings on Pinterest? Then I’ll give it one more go. I’m not done with this painting. I’m close.

How do you feel about heavy body paint vs. student-grade paint? I have an entire month to paint the flowers for the spirit book? I go this!

As always I appreciate your readership and being a fan.

Siempre,
