Today I read this question from a Cat Coq post. What would it really mean to you to know you’ve built a reliable career doing what you love? In this post, right here I want to wander and dream of what I truly wish for A Painted Garden. I’ll share a book project that I worked on. It’s a journal of all the encouraging thoughts I feel when I am wandering in nature. I tell her my project ideas and I am blessed with an immense yes let’s!

Wild About You

I worked on a book called Wild About You. It was inspired by a window display at Anthropologie. I painted beautiful swatches of color on literally an old, lined calendar notebook. I wanted to work with the reused reimagined idea. I thought it would be fun and motivational to have a book that I could read to inspire me.

I wrote this book to encourage me. I haven’t read it in a while. I should. I shall. Anyway, let me go back to Cat Coq’s question. What would it really mean to you to know you’ve built a reliable career doing what you love? Freedom. I want to be a wildflower. I want to begin my mornings with a painting session. Then spend the afternoons wandering in the gardens. Yes, occasionally hold painting sessions with my usual artists. I can have a beautiful garden where I can have breakfast and work on my art. Yes, I love nature, and I am outdoors any opportunity I can be.

I do have a day gig that I enjoy but the creative spirit, the wild heart in me wants freedom. I want to linger at home and wander, always have time to feel the way I do as I gaze up at the moon in the stars. Sometimes life can feel so I have to do this. We fill our days with busy work and set aside what is most important.

I’d like to set up an online store build my blog and work with a few businesses that align with what I believe in.

So, let’s encourage each other the way the moon and the stars comfort us, the way the higher love does. Your turn. What would success mean in your career? Now that we know what we want. the next step is how to make it happen. I will be working on a poster for A Painted Garden. After that, I am not sure what I will be working on. I do have a list.

With Love, Mireya
